Nathan Marquez

Hi, I'm Nathan! I love building cool stuff, especially products that delight users and bring people together. I'm interested in Human-AI Interaction, Recommender Systems, and Social Networks.

I majored in Artificial Intelligence at the Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science. There, I TA'd 15112 (Fundamentals of CS) and 07180 (Concepts in AI).

Currently, I'm a Software Engineer at Netflix on the Search and Discovery Innovation Team. I collaborate with Product, ML, and Platform teams to build experiences for hundreds of millions of users.

In the past, I've worked at Meta on the In-Stream Ads Team and Fanhouse, a recently acquired a16z-backed social media startup where I built the entire recommendation system and led content moderation model training.

I've worked on startups in Data-Centric AI, and Reverse Logistics for Fashion Retail. I want to work with really cool people to build things people want in huge markets. Feel free to reach out if you're interested in collaborating :)
